Franklin Tire Truck Fire - 15 Murphy Rd

June 28, 2007 - At around 17:30hrs the Franklin, Bozrah & Baltic fire companies were dispatched to 15 Murphy Rd for a active truck fire with extension to the building. Units arrived to find the bed of a tire truck well involved in fire. Crews used handlines and Class B foam to extinguish the fire. The Franklin FMO is investigating.

Griswold Propane/Trailer Fire

June 19, 2007 - At 11:22hrs the Griswold and Jewett City fire companies were dispatched to 659 Voluntown Rd (Sonoco Station) for a propane tank fire involving a trailer. FM-155 and ET-355 arrived to find a small trailer involved with fire. JC ET-156 was staged per command. One 1 3/4 handline was deployed and the fire extinguished. A column of black smoke could be seen from as far away as Occum and Plainfield.

Ledyard 2nd Alarm

June 18, 2007 - At around 14:45hrs the Ledyard and Gales Ferry fire companies with Ledyard EMS were dispatched to a house fire in the area of #4 Cartridge Trail in the Highland Section of Ledyard. Units arrived to find a working fire with fire venting from the roof and "C" side of the building. Crews deployed handlines and went to work. Additional manpower from Old Mystic, Mashantucket and the Sub-base FAST also responded.

Lisbon Rollover - Rt-169

June 3, 2007 - On this warm, sunny Sunday, the Lisbon FD was dispatched to an rollover with entrapment on Rt-169. Rescue -554 and Eng-154 arrived to find 1 car on it's roof in a field. Crews worked to removed the sole occupant out of the auto and transported the victim to WWBH for medical treatment.
