July 23, 2007 - At 01:38hrs Headquarters and Eng-2 responded to 126 Boswell Ave for a building fire. Battalion 1 arrived and reported a working fire in the Guy's Barber Shop. An " All Hands Working" was transmitted and the crews worked hard to stop the fire that was traveling thru the walls in an attempt to consume the building. By 04:00hrs the fire was deemed under control and crews remained for many hours for overhaul. Norwich fire personnel were supported by the Mohegan Tribal FD FAST, Norwich PD, American Ambualcne, Public Utilities, east Great Plains (Cover Assignment) and Canteen 1. The fire is under investigation by the Norwich FMO

East Thompson Dump Truck Crash
July 12, 2007 - The East Thompson Fire Dept and Community Ambulance were dispatched for a dump truck accident on Quaddick Town Farm Road. Upon arrival units found a dump truck that had went through a telephone pole and ended up against a tree. There were live wires on top of the truck so the patient was unable to be removed from the truck until CL & P arrived on scene. 1 patient was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
