Well Involved House Fire - Franklin

July 14, 2006 - At around 17:30 hrs the Franklin FD with mutual aid from Baltic and Bozrah were dispatched to a fully involved house fire at the intersection of Pleasure Hill Rd and Robinson Hill Rd. Baltic car-24 arrived to report a 50% involved house with live power lines down. Since this house is located on a hill responding crews could see this fire from a great distance. Even Chooper 8 arrived on scene at the same time as first due crews. A 2nd alarm was activated bringing South Windam, Tankers from Windam Center, Lebanon, Lisbon, and Scotland. 1 firefighter was transported due to heat related illness. A defensive attack was started and a safety zones was established with the live power line on the ground.
