August 14, 2005 - Norwich Platoon 2 was dispatched to a garage fire in the 400 block of Hamilton Ave. Eng-2 arrived and reported smoke coming from a "detached" garage. Eng-2 crew stretched an1.75 hoseline on the fire. The fire appeared to be in the ceiling area of the garage. Eng-2 crew had the fire knocked down by the time the rest of the assignment arrived. (I was on my way to work when the call came in, I just happen to be in Greenville at the time of the call. I arrived just as Eng-2 was stretching their line)
