Norwich 2nd Alarm, Mayday Transmitted
January 23, 2007 - At 04:15 hrs Norwich FD was dispatched for a structure fire on Tallman St off RT-2, Squad A arrived and reported smoke showing. As units were operating, a Norwich firefighters fell thru the 1st floor and a mayday was transmitted. A rear-entry crew had the ceiling fall on them and an evacuation was ordered. A 2nd alarm was transmitted bringing in East Great Plains and Mohegan Tribal FAST. The Norwich firefighter was removed from the building and a PAR was taken. All personnel were accounted for defensive operations took place. the fire in under investigation by Norwich FMO. Taftvillle covered the city
